Parking

Attention Juniors

If you are applying for a parking spot for the 2nd semester, please fill out an application and turn it in to Mrs. Drumheller in the Main Office by Friday January 19th. Semester 1 tags will be VOID as of Monday January 29th.

Seniors

If you are planning to park on compus for the 2nd semester, please turn in your payment to Mrs. Drumheller in the Main Office by Friday January 19th.

BEST BUDDIES meeting is CANCELLED Tuesday January 16th due to Midterms.  Next meeting will be February 6th

 

Attention Juniors and Seniors,

The Used Book Sale Committee needs your help.  The Used Book Sale's book drive will occur Saturday, January 20, 2018.  We need drivers to go through our school community to collect book donations.  In addition to helping UHS earn money for special projects, this is also a fun way for you to earn community service hours.

UHS Open Mic Night

There were will be over 15 acts performing a variety of music.  Sign-ups are now closed but if you would still like to play, just show up, and we will do our best to accommodate add-ons on a first come first serve basis depending on time. The cost is $5.

ROTARY YOUTH LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE (RYLA)

Are you interested in refining your leadership skills? The Longwood Rotary sponsors UHS sophomore who want to become stronger leaders at the RYLA Conference in Valley Forge from February 9-11. We have eleven spaces available to interested applicants. If you are interested, please stop by the Counseling Center to see Mrs. Elfreth for more information.

 

ATTENTION SENIORS: 

If you want to send your mid-year grades to any of the colleges to which you applied, you must complete and submit the yellow Mid-Year Grade Report Request form to the Counseling Center no later than January 31st. The yellow forms are available in the Counseling Center. Not all colleges/universities require a mid-year grade report. It is the student's responsibility to be aware of their colleges' specific requirements. If you submit an application after January 31st your first semester grades will automatically be included with your transcript.

A rep from the PFEW will be here on Thursday, January 25th at 9:00 in the Counseling Center. Hear about a great free week-long summer program for sophomores and juniors to learn about the free enterprise system by forming their own "imaginary company." Please pick up a pass in the Counseling.

ALL PFEW GRADUATES WHO APPLY AND ARE ACCEPTED TO LYCOMING COLLEGE OR PENNSYLVANIA COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY WILL RECEIVE SCHOLARSHIP MONEY TO USE AT EACH SCHOOL: $20,000 AT LYCOMING OR $8,000 AT PENN COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY.

LEADRERSHIP PROGRAMS

PA FREE ENTERPRISE WEEK

A one-of-a-kind summer program that offers in-coming high school juniors and seniors a unique and challenging opportunity to see what it is like to run their own business.
Participants will make up an "imaginary" management team where they will learn first-hand about the Free Enterprise System. Their task- turn their failing company into a financial success! They will develop their own marketing strategies, design a website and in essence, make all of the decisions that are demanded of real life company executives. 2018 applications are available in the Counseling Center and at

PENNSYLVANIA GOVERNOR'S SCHOOL FOR THE AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES

A free 4-week summer residential program held at Penn State University Park campus for academically talented and gifted high school students (rising seniors) from throughout Pennsylvania. The application deadline is February 15, 2018. Current juniors only.

Please be sure to bring in copies of all decision letters from colleges and give to the Counseling Center (i.e., acceptance, waitlist, deferment, and denial). We need this information to update Naviance.

Rugby

Unionville Rugby Club is looking for boys and girls players for the up coming spring season.

Girls Ice Hockey

 

Unionville Girls Ice Hockey is hosting a free clinic for any interested middle school and high school girls.  No experience necessary, but full equipment required to participate on ice.  Girls that are interested may also come to meet the team and watch demonstrations from the player bench.

Boys Volleyball


Anyone interested playing boys volleyball this spring, we are going to have an open gym on Monday January 22nd from 3 to 4:30 in the main gym. No experience necessary!  If you dominate your backyard picnic volleyball games, we want you to come out and play. 

 

After our January 22nd open gym, we are going to have a parent/player meeting at 4:45 in coach Moister's room 194.  If you have any questions, please stop by room 194 or email coach Moister

 

Boys Basketball

Boys Basketball defeated Oxford 61-48 at Oxford last night.

 

Girls JV Basketball

The girls JV basketball team improved it's record to 6-0, defeating division rival, Oxford, by the score of 33-20.  Lily Dietrich led the Lady Indians with 9 points, and Alexia Brown added 8.  The girls will travel to Avon Grove Saturday evening for a 6:00 game.
